Greg Eslinger Inks Contract With Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have signed former University of Minnesota center Greg Eslinger to a contract with the club Mike Shanahan announced today.

Eslinger (6-foot-3, 290 pounds), selected by the Broncos in the sixth round (198th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft, was a four-year starte with the Gophers. He received the Outland Trophy (nation’s outstanding interior lineman) and Rimington Trophy (nation’s outstanding center) as a consensus All-American in 2005. Eslinger, who started all 50 career games played in college, received first-team All-Big Ten Conference accolades in each of his final three years at Minnesota.
Named Class 3A Player of the Year at center during his senior season at Bismarck High School in Bismarck, N.D., Greg Eslinger was born April 23, 1983, in Bismarck, N.D.

Three of the Broncos’ seven selections in the 2006 NFL Draft have been signed.
